Beliefs and traditions of magic expand across all cultures, with the earliest forms recorded 2,700 BC in ancient Egypt. To simplify, magic is polarized into the malicious ‘left-hand path’ of black or dark magic versus the benevolent ‘right-hand path’ of white magic; as defined in Western esotericism.
